Are you looking to re-vamp your little girl’s room? Work on some important essentials and watch her space transform into her very own personal retreat. Check out how Kate re-decorated her nine year old daughter’s room. You will love the purple and blue shades.
Kate over at Centsationalgirl gave her nine year old daughter’s room an impeccable makeover. She threw in some different elements here and there and incorporated her daughter’s favorite colors throughout (blue and lavender) the space.
The furniture, fabrics and accessories were kept very feminine so that the bedroom turns out to be her little one’s personal retreat.
However, there is some degree of sophistication also that will ensure that nothing feels out-of space for some more years to come. Kate worked on some of these essentials and the result is simply fantastic. The bunk bed is the most essential feature of the room. A classic dresser with ring pulls and a blossom mirror perfectly fit the space. The lighting options in the room include the night lamp on the stand near the bed and the distinctly shaped chandelier.
Kate built bracket bookshelves and painted a little cabinet in white and the reading nook was ready.
The closet’s background was worked up using wrapping paper rolls with cherry blossom pattern. The dollhouse was installed right below. Lavender curtains replaced the closet door.
A green desk was re-painted aqua blue to match the décor. She also got an old bench reupholstered.
The framed leopard print fabrics is lovely and the flower pillow, really creative! Re-decorating your little girl’s room can be pricey. A DIY project, however, is easier on the pocket and satisfies the creative soul within you. Tell us what you found interesting about this makeover.
